Bio Slurping

This method is effective at reducing the concentration of contaminants dissolved in the groundwater, absorbed into the soil below the water table and within the capillary fringe. Contaminants absorbed into the soil in the unsaturated zone can also be treated by this method although it is more effective to treat them by bioventing. Bio Slurping is also often combined with soil vapour extraction when volatile contaminants are present.
