Site Assessment

Site assessment determines whether a site poses a threat to human health or the environment. All readily available information about the site and the surrounding area will be collected along with the following:

• information on the chemical and physical nature of the site contaminants

• the extent of the contamination

• the potential contamination migration.

A conceptual model of the physical environment beneath the site will then be developed using this information.
